Small Area Rugs: An Angled Approach.

Rug stacking is a novel way to display a number of Small Area Rugs. The pattern on the top can be more colorful and detailed than the pattern on the bottom. Rugs from the Middle East and Persia can be mixed and matched. The one on top should also be brighter in color than the one on the bottom. The lower knotted rug should preferably be the same size as the top rug and neutral in color. Leave a 1' or 1.5' border gap between the margins of each throw rug for the greatest effect. A coffee table on top of the complete setup will help to anchor the design even further.

Before bringing in Small Area Rugs, always measure the size of your room and the area of your potential furniture arrangement. To make the most of your rug space, adopt the diagonal approach of rug placement.
